Day 12 - Sunset | Photography Challenge

Hello Friends!

So, I'm here and I'm hoping to catch up on the photography challenge posts that I've been slacking on as well as the 'other' list of blog posts which just haven't realized over this little busy period I've been going through. Prepare for a post overload! ;)

So, day 12 was a pretty easy photo to take as I am blessed with the most amazing sunsets every, single, day! After a long day, if we get home in time, this is what I get to see and it's an awesome reward for living another day!

I present, the sunset!

Hello friends!

Firstly, I'm using the blogger for iPad app for the first time which is both exciting and scary seeing as I don't know what is going to show up on the blog with respects to font and design...eeeeeeep!

Nonetheless it's a lot easier for me to update from my iPad as schlepping a laptop around on our local escapades is just not happening anymore.

Next item of business - the photography challenge photies...and posts....
Well....
I brought my camera to take today's pic and post it, but alas I left the memory card with all the images for the past (1000000000.....) days worth of photography challenge pics at home. Sigh. I know.

So this is a little notice to say...
"They're coming!"

In the meantime - here's a pretty picture!

My Sister and I | Wendy

Hello!

This morning my sister called me and although for some this may be an every day occurrence in some of your lives, it's a recent addition to mine.

Needless to say a blog is a public and open platform so I'm not going to share intimate and private details of our history, but I will say that for the first time ever we are making a full-hearted attempt at having a relationship and it's become something which I value already.

A few weeks ago I woke up to a message from Kelly on whatsapp and she had sent me some images. The one I'm sharing today is when Kelly was still an infant and i was probably about 3 years old. I can't remember this day, but I know that in my heart it must have been special - I just know.

The reason why I'm sharing this post today is because this past week I've realized that although we CAN'T choose our family, they are not something which we can throw away. I've had so much up and down and back and forth when it comes to family and at one stage I thought myself better off without any relatives in my life, but now I know that although I don't have much, I have enough.

Cars in the Park '13 | Events

Hello There!

This morning I just have to share a post about the 'Cars in the Park' car show that we attend annually! This is such a big highlight for Lee, his dad and I...
The Pretoria Old Motor Club (POMC) arranges this annual event which occurs at the Zwartkops Raceway in Pretoria. Thousands of people flock to the show either as spectators or otherwise as classic car owners who want to be part of a venture to keep the classic car passion alive. Spectators park outside the raceway and pay an entrance fee to come in whereas those showing their cars are exempt of a fee and drive around the track eventually finding a place to park their pride and joy in order to walk around and enjoy the efforts of others.

At this show there are cars from every segment, make, model and country - from vintage Renault to Porsche and Mercedes. However, although all these cars are most fascinating to see, the very best are the American cars. There is NOTHING like American V8! #MajorlyBiased

Now, without further a due, some favourites which I was able to snap throughout the day...
